OpenPlant Forum – Engineering Plants for Bioproduction
2018-07-23 - 2018-07-25
OpenPlant is a collaborative initiative between the University of Cambridge, the John Innes Centre and The Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich. OpenPlant is focused on the development of open technologies for plant synthetic biology and promotes foundational technologies that facilitate exchange and freedom to operate in research environments, as well as the application of technologies for trait engineering.
The OpenPlant Forum aims to bring together members of OpenPlant, our partners and Scientific Advisory Board but we also welcome applications for tickets from others in plant synthetic biology and related communities. Teams applying for OpenPlant seed funding will be pitching their ideas to a panel of judges on Monday 27 July for one of up to 20 grants for open, interdisciplinary projects in plant synthetic biology. Explore the latest tools in plant synthetic biology and discuss new ways of sharing research and technologies that could promote progress through openness and responsible innovation. Find out about the latest applied research in plant synthetic biology including engineering photosynthesis, leaf metabolism, carbohydrates, plant natural products and nitrogen fixation
